Long time comin

Sorry for the long time since my last post... well you probably haven't even noticed since my good mate here has been picking up the slack with some great posts. Anyway I thought i'd better redeem myself with a couple of tracks which are pretty much essential to have at the moment.

The Crookers, as you will undoubtedly be aware of have remixed Busy P's "To Protect and Entertain" and is due to come out any time now on the "Pedrophilia" EP. For now you'll have to be content with this great set rip I found which is sooo much better than the Myspace teaser rip that has been circulating. By the way, this track is fecking tits!

Next is an upcoming producer who has been causing a stir lately. His name is Duke Dumont and he makes bangers, but don't pass this dude off as just some-other remixer/producer person, his beats are Scribe-like f.r.e.s.h. This track in particular is causing shockwaves, appearing in sets by the likes of Erol Alkan. Also make sure you check out his remix of "Two Doors Down" by Mystery Jets - its a pure gold.

The Proxy are another group who, like Duke Dumont, are solidifying themselves as legit players in the industry. Their tracks "Dancing in the Dark", "40 seconds", and this track here - "Raven" are appearing in sets and blogs all over the place and for good reason too -- they are absolute grinders that make you wanna fight and party at the same time, what a combo!

Whats with the picture you ask? Well it's pretty much what i've been trying to do lately... you know it's hard to get through your HSC when its the year you get to do everything you've ever wanted to do!
Until next time...

Bamboo Banga Mix - DJ Tameil & Tim Dolla

Dj Tameil and DJ Tim Dolla of the Brick Bandits crew have collaborated to put together the Bamboo Banga mix cd. One look at the tracklisting and you already know this mix is hot. I'm not even gonna try to hype it up, the fact that I was willing to retype the whole tracklisting should be enough proof of the unerring ability of this mix to make you shake dat ass. I hate superfluous typing but it's kinda hard to read the tracklisting in the above picture. You're welcome in advance. Enjoy.
DJ Tameil & Tim Dolla - Bamboo Banga Mix [sendspace]
Tracklisting:
  1. Tim Dolla - Bamboo Banga
  2. DJ Sega - Be
  3. Kud Cudi - Day 'n' Nite ft. Crookers
  4. Justice - We Are Your Friends ft. Scottie B & King Tutt
  5. Tim Dolla - Let's Bang
  6. DJ Tameil - Bump Like This
  7. Claude Von Stroke - Jam On It
  8. Crookers - Big Money Comin'
  9. DJ Laz - Move, Shake, Pop ft. Pitbull & Flo-Rida
  10. DJ Tameil - Fuck Em' Up (Fight)
  11. KW Griff - Get Pumped
  12. Rye Rye - Wassup Wassup
  13. Rye Rye - Wassup Wassup (Crookers Remix)
  14. Majik Johnson & Claude Von Stroke - Scanning For Viruses
  15. Tim Dolla - Love Song
  16. K.Gol - Like This One
  17. Janza Clipz - Don't Play
  18. Green Velvet & DJ Sneak - Shake & Pop
  19. Tim Dolla - Let The Music Play
  20. DJ Booman - Love The Way

Bonus: I'm posting the Crookers track Big Money Comin' that's included in the mix. YCCMP was the only blog on hype machine that has posted the track and that is a serious crime against the internets in my opinion. The song is dope.

Crookers - Big Money Comin' [YSI]

Extra Bonus: Damn, this started as a simple one-mix-and-one-track post but then I discovered these two tracks that I have too post. The first is a remix of the Lil' Wayne track A Milli, in my opinion one of the four or five good tracks on Tha Carter III. The original A Milli already has a dope beat, all DJ Tameil does is get this track ready for the dancefloors of Baltimore. The second track is a remix of So Hood by Kazey. Since Kazey is French, I guess I need to retract my previous sentence about the dancefloors of Baltimore. Bmore is officially worldwide (like my proclamation means anything).

BANG BANG BANG!

This week has been absolutely insane in terms of my internet/blog/music life. Firstly, all of the Crooker's remixes of Moby's "I Love To Move In Here" are out, as is one of the tracks off their "Mad Kidz" EP (BUY IT!!BUY IT!!), and on top of that, their long awaited remix of "To Protect and Entertain" was recently added to their Myspace player and subsequently ripped by many ravenous bloggers. Thats alot of Crookers to digest in one week WOW! Other than that, I got my hands on a great Stereoheroes remix of "Fukt" by Teen Wolf which is an absolute banger. Then to top all of this off, The Bloody Beetroots remix of "72 Virgins" by Shitdisco came into my possession, and needless to say, it is a growling destroyer of a track. Enjoy!

New Music: Post Paper/Test Week Edition

First up, is a Justice on Justice remix of DVNO. I'm not sure if this is new, but I hadn't heard it until two days ago. The remix is not as dancefloor-friendly as the original, but it's an interesting take on a song that I've definitely played out after the new video was released. So Me is the shit!

Cool track from Steed Lord with some help from Crookers.

I love these guys, they have some of the most fun mixes on the internet hands down. Check out their myspace page for more remixes. DJs, please go pick up their vinyl here, cause I have to hear/dance to this shit at some club/bar in Houston in the near future.

Top Billin' - Do You Want To Party [fast download]

This is approximately the 62nd remix of the HEARTSREVOLUTION song CYOA, but this one actually spikes the Kool-Aid. Halfway through the mix, you will swear that Kate has taken up rappin' ala MIA. Badass remix.

HEARTSREVOLUTION - CYOA (Flosstradamus Remix) [fast download]

First off, a large part of the reason this track is on this blog is because it is a Diplo remix. I'm sorry, I just love any song this guy touches. Gold Jerry, Gold! But an equally important reason is PGRZ, the record label that Hood Headlinez and other artists are a part of. I first heard the original track about 4-5 months ago and I was blown away. Being from Houston, I immediately identified with the laid back sound, but the PRGz tracks are better than anything that's come out of Houston in a long while. Seriously, give Wood Grain and Rollin a listen and tell me you don't get that warm fuzzy feeling you got when you first heard Sittin Sidewayz (and I don't mean the after effects of sippin' "lean").
