What's up everyone? SSDT is back with its first post since Hurricane Ike tried to kill me and everyone else in the Houston area (and after all that recycling I do, F-U Mother Earth). In some cases Ike tried to kill some people more than others. Take me for example. See that big ass tree in the pic above? Yeah, that's my front yard. If that tree fell the opposite direction Saturday morining, I'd be typing this post from the Great Laptop in the sky. No worries though, I heard Zeus just installed a new T4 connection so the internet should be lightening fast (I rate that "OP" for obvious pun). It looks like Immuzikation is back from his self-imposed internet time out and I think we are all happy about his return. I'm sure yall already picked up his previous songs that signaled his triumphant return. All the tracks are spectacular and I'm including them below for all you stragglers. The track that has me posting right now though is his new Santogold and Treasure Fingers blend. I already told you it has Santogold and Treasure Fingers so I don't really know what else to say to make you wanna listen to this track. If it helps to assuage any doubts you may still have, I assure you the song super funky fresh.

Back In Full Blast Mode

Long time, no read huh? I know it has been a while since my last post, but I have good excuses. First, like a lot of people, this last week I was lost in Liberty City for a couple of days. The game is badass; this isn’t a video game site so I won’t go into it anymore than to say GTA IV is fucking awesome. Then Friday, the Glow in the Dark Tour stopped in Houston. My prose can not sufficiently describe the glorious experience of seeing Kanye perform live, so I’ll defer you to Roshan's review over at weworemasks.blogspot.com (whenever he completes it). Saturday, saw Iron Man, awesome. And Sunday I was just being lazy, but no worries today I’m back. I don’t have anything new, so I’m gonna post some old stuff just in case you missed it. Holla!

Immuzikation: Cause Two Tracks Are Better Than One

I just received an email from Immuzikation, a man back to make mash ups respectable again. I wouldn't even call Immuzikation a "mashup" or "bootleg" artist, he is a priest uniting two tracks (or more) in holy matrimony. His track selection is also incredible, I thought my musical tastes ranged across many genres until I took a look at the list of songs he brings together. He mixes The Doors with Daft, Yelle with Weezer, Feist with Burial, and MGMT with anything. These tracks practically come blog pre-approved. Check out some of the beautiful unions below.
